Terms and Conditions
The customer hereby rents bicycles from Alfas Bike Hire subject to all terms and conditions of this agreement:
1.1. Alfas Bike Hire rents bikes only with prior booking. Overnight rentals can be agreed. The daily rental period is from 9am to 5pm.
1.2. If the customer fails to return the rented items to Alfas Bike Hire within the agreed rental period, even for reasons beyond his/her control, Alfas Bike Hire shall be entitled to demand compensation.
1.3. The rented items will be delivered / picked up at the time and date according to the booking. The customer has to give clear information about the meeting point and place to deliver / pick up the rented items and provide a functioning mobile number.
1.4. Any changes to the rental contract must be notified by the customer and confirmed by Alfas Bike Hire. Any delays on delivery / pick up of the rented items will result in an additional charge to the customer.
1.5. Exceptional circumstances or force majeure could lead to delay of delivery/pick up of the rented items. In such cases Alfas Bike Hire will always notify the customer about the changes.
1.6. All rented items are presented in perfect working order. Alfas Bike Hire accepts general wear and tear during the rental period. However, any bicycle/equipment returned with excessive cleaning requirement will result in a 10€ charge to the customer.
1.7. The rented items should only be used by the designated customer and the members of his/her party as mentioned in the rental contract. The customer accepts to use the rented bicycle/equipment with all due care and correctness in order to observe road safety regulations. Customers are forbidden to use any rented bicycle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Customers are not allowed to modify or alter the rented item in any way.
1.8. The customer is obliged to take good care of the rented equipment and to protect it from damage, loss or theft. In case of damage, loss or theft of the bicycles, components or any of its parts, Alfas Bike Hire will charge the customer the full cost of the missing items at market prices.
2.1. Reservation
Bike reservations must be completed prior to the rental period in order for Alfas Bike Hire to confirm availability. If the customer urgently needs a bike on the same day a reservation can be made over the phone or by email.
2.2 Payment
The customer must pay 50% deposit of the complete hire charge when booking via the online page, or by e-mail at: info@alfasbikehire.com. All balances of hire to be paid on delivery day, either by card, cash or pre-paid via the booking page.
2.3 Deposit
On delivery of the rented items, the customer must read, accept and sign the rental agreement. A security deposit of 300 euros per bike. The customer signing the rental contract must be over 18 years of age. At the end of the rental period, the customer accepts the charge for any missing or broken items at market prices. The deposit will be refunded if the rented bike equipment is returned in the same condition it was procured. If the missing or broken items exceed the deposit amount, the customer must settle the balance.
2.4 If Alfas Bike Hire private insurance is paid, there is a 50 euro excess (the insurance does not cover a broken or cracked frame, or if the bike is stolen or lost).
2.5. Delivery and Collection
Free to Albir, Alfas, Altea, Benidorm, Calpe, Finestrat, La Nucia, Moraira, Pollop and Vilajoysa. Any other areas for delivery, please e-mail for a quote info@alfasbikehire.com
Over 15km from La Nucia it’s Price per location. This can be flexible with offers given by Alfas Bike Hire and agreed and confirmed in the booking form when making the reservation
3.1. The customer accepts the charges for any missing or broken rented items at market prices at the end of the rental period agreed in the contract. If the missing or broken rented items exceed the deposit amount, the customer must settle the balance.
3.2. No shows will be charged in full and considered non‐refundable. Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason.
3.3. Alfas Bike Hire does not provide a refund for the early return of rented items. Alfas Bike Hire cannot be made responsible for the customer´s personal circumstances, sicknesses, weather conditions, or any other event of force majeure. The customer accepts that no refunds will be made for any of the above reasons without any exceptions.
3.4. Alfas Bike Hire does not provide refunds for full or part payments given prior to bike hire for any circumstances.
3.5. The customer is obliged to make provision for the protection of the rented items, as well as the protection from loss and theft. In case of theft or loss during the rental period, the customer has to bear all the costs for the reconditioning at market prices. From the moment of signing the contract and receiving a rented item, the customer is fully responsible for the rented items.
3.6. In case of theft or loss of the rented bike, Alfas Bike Hire applies a minimum charge of 2,000 euro per carbon bike.
3.7. If rented bike is found after theft, Alfas Bike Hire will contact the customer regarding possible refund (part). If damages have occurred in certain circumstances insurance companies may have final decision.
3.8. Alfas Bike Hire recommends customers to have Travel Insurance that covers rented items against loss, theft & damages. In case of theft or damage, Alfas Bike Hire will do their best and cooperate with clients’ insurance.
4.1. Small reparations on rented items such as punctures are the customer’s responsibility. Regarding all other repairs on rented items during the rental period, the customer must contact Alfas Bike Hire and agree on the service charges.
5.1. Alfas Bike Hire has third-party liability insurance coverage of the bicycle rental activity. Alfas Bike Hire is not responsible for injury or damages caused to/by the client during the rental period.
5.2. The customer is responsible for sufficient personal insurance coverage for risks that may occur during the rental period. Alfas Bike Hire is not liable for any claims for body injury or harm, accidents, or loss of personal belongings caused by weather, sickness, persons, cars, or any other causes and causers.
5.3. The customer must respect Spanish traffic regulations. Any ticket or fine due to incorrect use of the bicycle will be completely assumed by the customer.
5.4. All the information provided by the customer to Alfas Bike Hire is protected by the organic law 15/199 of the 13th December regarding the protection of personal data.
5.5. The provisions of this contract shall be governed by Spanish law.
